Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and still kinda new to guitar, anyone have any good suggestions for songs i should learn to help improve my small skill?

I would learn songs in the style or by a band that you like. It will keep you motivated.

One I teach learners is "As Tears Go By", which is an accoustic song, despite being by the Rolling Stones.
The advantages - it only uses easy open chords, while there's quite a few in there the tempo is slow, so changes are not laborious, and there's a pause at the start of each line, so you don't start singing during a change. It also makes a good addition to anyone's repertoire - it's not one of those songs you "learn because you're learning". Another useful concept - when you have a song like that, which is very short without the solo, you can learn to play the chords and whistle a solo to preserve the structure (don't try this on Steely Dan stuff!).
